Australian Visa Checklist - You Need to Check these List before Applying for Visa

While applying for the Australian Visa under different Australian Visa schemes, the applicant is required to submit various kinds of documents along with the application. It is advised to the individuals to prepare a checklist of these documents so that they don't miss on anything essential.

Tourism Visa

Australia provides a number of tourist visas to everyone willing to visit Australia for a vacation, communal or leisure motives, to visit family, friends or for many more non-work motives for short period of time.

There are 2 major kinds of Tourism Visas. It is worth mentioning that while there is no cost for both visas, there is a $20 AUD service fee for one of them.

As far as Australian Visa checklist goes they need to have

  • A valid passport
  • 2 passport sized photographs
  • Completed Form 48R
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee
  • Duplicates of old passport and visas (if any)
  • Proof of employment and income
  • Proof of ownership of assets
  • Health Certificate
  • Health Insurance Certificate in case you are over 75
  • Birth Certificate and Parent's written consent to travel (in case you are less than 18 years old)
  • Character Certificate
  • Proof of money to fund your stay

They have the option to either apply online or in person through Australian Visa Office or by the help of agent.

Business Visits

For business visits as well there are quite a number of Visas issued by Australian government. The service fee, necessary application and ancillary documents are according to the type of visa essential for the business visit. Also they must carry the following documents and things

  • A valid passport
  • Completed form 1415
  • 2 passport sized photographs
  • Proof that there is a requirement for you to be in Australia for business, such as a letter of your employment declaring the reason of your visit and the duties that shall be performed by you in Australia
  • Proof of educational and professional qualifications
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee
  • Proof of ownership of assets
  • Proof that can show your history of international travel such as old visas and passports
  • Health Certificate
  • Health Insurance Certificate in case you are over 75
  • Character Certificate
  • Proof of money to fund your stay
